Professionally framed and matted waterbrush sketch of a California Sheephead cruising the reef. Made in 2010, this sketch was the inspiration behind my best selling Sheephead shirt through Kelp Clothing. Drawn on 9" x 12" watercolor paper and captured in a 16" x 20" frame.
A completely freehand drawing, without a pencil sketch or prior planning. This was from a series of studies I was doing at the time, focused more on movement, atmosphere, and energy, rather than trying to make anything "perfect ".
